Zamboanga City is home to several malls owned by national chains. Let’s start with KCC Mall de Zamboanga. This is the biggest mall in the city and in the Zamboanga Peninsula. It opened in 2015 and expanded with an East Wing in 2017. It’s developed by KCC, a major mall operator from Mindanao. Next is SM City Mindpro. It opened in December 2020 as the first SM Supermall in Zamboanga. This mall is a partnership between SM Prime and Mindpro Retail Inc. It features the SM Store, SM Cyberzone, Uniqlo, and more. Aside from SM City Mindpro, there is also another SM mall in the city. The construction of SM City Zamboanga is still ongoing, and it’s expected to open in late 2025. This new mall will be bigger and feature more national international brands. Now let’s move to CityMall Tetuan. This is a community mall developed by DoubleDragon Properties. It was the first CityMall in Mindanao. It features a supermarket, food court, and service shops. There’s also CityMall Guiwan. It’s another CityMall branch serving the east side of the city. Once it will be opened to the public, it will soon become the Philippine’s biggest CityMall branch in terms of floor area. Together, these malls bring national retail brands to Zamboanga.
