Let's Ride San Francisco's New $2 Billion Subway
Come take a ride on the brand new Central Subway in San Francisco. Run by SF Muni, it's a 1.7 mile mostly underground line connecting Chinatown, Union Square (where it connects to BART), Moscone Center, and 4th and Brannan. There is a planned extension of this line to North Beach, which would make this far more useful, but that's going to be a long time from now. At nearly $2 billion, most would argue that this is a waste of money for such a short distance. But now that it's here, hopefully it will be helpful for anyone who finds it hard to climb the hill.
