Aston Martin DB4 GT & Aston Martin DB6 | Two of the finest of the breed (4K)

This is the Aston Martin DB4 GT & Aston Martin DB6, both cars are available at time of filming at Aston Martin Nottingham. Announced at the London Motor Show in October 1959, the DB4GT was a grand touring version of the DB4 primarily intended for GT-class racing. The new model had actually made its public debut several months earlier, when the prototype DB4GT, team car DP199/1, had won the GT race (and set a new lap record) at the Daily Express Silverstone May meeting driven by Stirling Moss. The most noticeable styling changes on DB6 were the Kamm tail rear spoiler, which improved high speed stability, the split front and rear bumpers; a redesigned oil cooler aperture in the front valance, a higher roof line (136 cm) and longer wheelbase (258.5 cm), 9.5 cm more than DB5, giving an overall length of 462 cm.
