Configure and Use Timesheets with Microsoft Project Online Configuring Timesheets in Microsoft Project Online Our recommended configuration for project online timesheets is pretty simple. We like to have the Timesheet be the one-stop-shop for all time. We therefore use Single Entry Mode (SEM). That along with entering hours for each task, for each day of the week. Single Entry Mode: Selected (This selection ensures both project related tasks and administrative tasks show up in a Team Members timesheet. The Timesheet in Project Online certainly has a number of options when it comes to configuring it in the Microsoft PPM solution. Project Web App is robust, and as such has many options. We usually create Time Reporting Periods that are one (1) week in duration. Therefore we're creating 52 annually. Define Batch Naming Convention When you create multiple time reporting periods, it is recommended to use a unique name for each period. I will quite often use a prefix that reflects the year, such as "FY24-" Create Periods This section allows you to create time reporting periods using Insert Before and Insert After buttons.
