Backpacking Mt San Gorgonio Peak via Vivian Creek Trail
5/3/2026: I finally backpacked the highest peak in Southern California, Mt San Gorgornio! It was a wonderful trail, albeit pretty tough here and there. Overall I got about 20 miles from my car with about 5,700 ft of elevation gain to the peak. I camped at Halfway Camp, but wish I camped at the peak or at Vivian Creek for epic views. Lots of running water near each camping area, very little snow. Can't wait to come back!
