For over three decades, the Thungyai Naresuan and Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuaries have been declared a World Heritage Site. This protected forest area is considered the first natural site in Thailand, and a vital part of Southeast Asia, to be designated a World Heritage Site. It is the headwater area of ​​major rivers, that nourish plant life, wildlife, and the lives of people in many large cities. It also serves as a central hub for the distribution of wildlife and plant species, teeming with biodiversity, and immeasurable abundance.
