Yitzhak Shamir interview with Saeed Naqvi | Israeli PM interview | 22-07-1994

Yitzhak Shamir was the Prime Minister of Israel from 1983 to 1984. He was also appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs in March 1980. Shamir joined the Beitar Zionist youth movement as a young man and studied law in Warsaw. Subsequent the death of Stern, Shamir played a central part in reorganizing the Sternist central committee. In March 1975, Shamir was elected chairman of the party executive of Herut. In 1990, after his government demolished, Shamir eventually succeeded in forming his own coalition government including several representatives of ultra conservative groups. He died in 2012.
