It's so infectious and disarming that the fabulously wealthy Baron Lefuet (JUSTUS VON DOHNÁNYI) desperately wants to possess it. Lefuet proposes an unusual deal to the orphan boy: if Timm sells him his laughter, he will win every bet in the future. Timm signs the contract. Thanks to his newfound ability, the boy can seemingly fulfill all his wishes, but without his laughter, he becomes increasingly lonely and falls deeper and deeper into the clutches of the diabolical Baron.
