8th Gen Civic HFP Lip and Rear Sway Bar Install: Project Dadmobile levels up By Aaron Gaghagen The 8th generation Civic is a good looking car and the Si version is even better looking. But, the front end is definitely missing something stock. Looking back at previous Civic Si generations the thing that helped differentiate them from other trim levels was a front lip spoiler. The best example is of course is the EM1. For some reason Honda decided to forgo a front lip on the 8th gen Civic Si. Yes, we know there wasn't one on the EP3 Si, but the Si was a hatchback only and didn't look like the coupe or sedan. Project Dadmobile used to have a knock-off Type R front lip that was ripped off by a semi-truck tire at around 75 miles per hour. Without the lip the car just looks homely. So, we're going to fix that with a legit HFP front lip. The looks aren't the only issue we're dealing with today. We actually do something to improve the handling with a Progress rear sway bar. The Progress bar steps up from the 17mm stock unit to 22mm. (Part No. 62.1009) This will help flatten out the ride and help the rear end of the car to rotate better. Like us? We’d Love Your Support!
