Bobby McFerrin and Tuck Andress at The New Varsity

This show is up incrementally earlier on my channel, but here are the two sets unedited. On January 20, 1984 Bobby McFerrin sat in for Tuck Andress's partner/wife Patti Cathcart, for a previously scheduled performance at Tuck and Patti's regular gig at the New Varsity. Turns out Patti got an opportunity to cruise to Hawaii with Bobby's wife and she took it, as Bobby offered to help with the 2 weekend gigs. The result is an amazing 2 sets with two otherworldly artists. At one point over the two weekend performances, I recall, Bobby humorously singing the words written below the framed 8x10 photo of Meher Baba that always sat next to Tuck, it read, "Smile, don't worry, be happy."
