The Official Memorial Service for Mama Albertina Sisulu took place on 9 June 2011 at the City Hall in Tshwane. The Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga delivered a keynote address on behalf of government. The Secretary General of the African National Congress, Mr Gwede Mantashe paid tribute to Mama Sisulu on behalf of the ANC.
