XII Homenaje a las Víctimas del Franquismo - Colmenar Viejo

Video of the 12th Tribute to the Victims of Francoism, held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the Colmenar Viejo Parish Cemetery. The event, organized by the Colmenar Viejo April 14th Cultural Association, commemorated the 108 people executed between April and December 1939 (107 men and one woman), as well as another victim who died as a result of torture suffered in Miraflores de la Sierra. The ceremony included the reading of the names of those repressed and a moving tribute in which their photographs were placed on the olive trees in the cemetery grounds, accompanied by family members, neighbors, representatives of memorial associations, social organizations, and institutional representatives. The Colmenar Viejo Parish Cemetery is a site of special significance for historical memory, as it was the first location in the Community of Madrid where the exhumations of civilian victims of the Civil War and the post-war period took place.
