#EnVivoAhora | Masiosare: Movimiento estudiantil de 1971 (19/06/2026)

Today on the "History and Present" panel, Cristina Gómez, Lorenzo Meyer, Paco Ignacio Taibo II, and Karla Motte analyze the context that gave rise to the student protests following the Tlatelolco massacre, the demands for university autonomy in Nuevo León, and the growing discontent with the promises of democratic openness made by the government of Luis Echeverría. Based on these events, the program explores how the demands for democracy, participation, and freedom transcended the university sphere to become a nationwide movement. Masiosare is a production of Canal 22 and Canal Once.
