Today we're turning that shipwreck into an aquarium exhibit in Planet Zoo.We're expanding the Tri-State Zoo's Florida Keys section with a sunken shipwreck habitat. The real CSS Alabama spent two years raiding Union merchant ships before the USS Kearsarge finally sank her in 1864. But in our timeline, she's been resting on the seafloor for 160 years, slowly becoming a reef — and now she's the centerpiece of a walk-through aquarium.This one's gonna test me. Shipwreck builds always do — getting the sightlines right, making the wreck feel real and not just a prop, and filling it with life that makes sense for the Keys.
