BEST African Safari | Serengeti National Park Tanzania in July | Luxury Stay Melia Serengeti Lodge

DISCLAIMER there might be some clips disturbing for viewers (lions eating their prey) Thank You for watching and please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE I’m very excited to share our bucketlist trip to Africa with you all (July 2024). Instead of booking with a tour group, we planned and booked mostly everything on our own for Kenya and Tanzania If you enjoyed this video I’d appreciate your subscription ! We loved our very first safari in Ngorongoro Crater. However, our safari in Serengeti surpassed all of our expectations. It was the MOST amazing experience of our lives. For our trip to Tanzania, we booked directly with a Melia representative since we wanted to stay at 3 different properties -- Melia Arusha, Ngorongoro Lodge Melia Collection and Melia Serengeti Lodge. He was readily available for questions via emails and phone calls and helped us tailor our vacation to our needs. During our game drives in Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti, we were able to see 4 of the Big 5 animals -- lion, elephant, buffalo and rhino. We don't have clips of the rhino from Ngorongoro as the mother and baby were too far and only saw them through binoculars. We only saw a leopard for a very brief moment in the Serengeti as it was climbing down a tree but it disappeared into the bushes. We've been to 30 countries including Bora Bora, Maldives, Thailand, Spain, France, Switzerland, Greece, etc -- and THIS was our favorite out of all our trips. ______ Chapters: 00:00 Intro 00:10 Serengeti National Park huge herd of elephants 01:49 Serengeti National Park picnic area with mice 02:24 Melia Serengeti Lodge a member of the Melia Collection 02:49 Savannah Panorama Room Tour Melia Serengeti Lodge 03:27 Meals at Melia Serengeti 03:50 Private Game drives 04:11 Large PRIDE OF LIONS feasting on their prey Serengeti National Park 06:29 Hyenas Serengeti National Park 06:56 Animals of Serengeti National Park 07:21 Cheetah up close Serengeti National Park 07:55 Private Dinner Melia Serengeti Lodge 08:33 Tse Tse flies and how to avoid getting bit 09:14 Final Thoughts Serengeti National Park 09:33 Outro ______ These are the VISA travel requirements... It’s not always required so make sure to do your research. For our trip, it was required to enter Tanzania if you’re coming from Kenya. Initially we planned to visit a Passport Clinic, which are available throughout LA county. Passport clinics are specific clinics that provide travel vaccines and medications, ones that aren’t typically stocked at your primary doctor’s office — like the yellow fever vaccine However, we learned that Kaiser actually has their own travel clinic! It was very convenient to make an appointment and speak with one of their providers to tailor which medications we specifically needed based on our destinations. Of note this is NOT a paid or sponsored post, we are simply sharing our positive experience during the process The mandatory vaccine was the yellow fever one and they give you the required proof of vaccination card (which is also yellow) — make sure to keep this card as you’ll need to show it at the airport in the US and in Tanzania. We got this vaccine for free at Kaiser. It would have otherwise cost at least $600 for my husband and I at a passport clinic We also received the recommended vaccines: Dtap and Hep B, along with prophylactic anti Malaria Pills ______ WATCH NEXT: NGORONGORO CRATER    • 4K | Ngorongoro Lodge Melia Collection | B...   THE GIRAFFE MANOR, NAIROBI, KENYA    • The Giraffe Manor Nairobi | How to Book | ...   TRAVELING FROM NAIROBI, KENYA TO ARUSHA, TANZANIA    • Traveling from Nairobi, Kenya to Arusha,Ta...   ______ Let’s connect: https://www.instagram.com/kateswander...
