Grocery Shopping For One For July 2026; Afternoon Walk; Fireworks

After retiring from a busy, demanding career as a RN, and after my 5 children are grown and have their own careers and children, I realize that retirement is an ongoing journey of changes and adjustments. Box 33 Ridgeland, MS 39158 Today I’m buying groceries for the month of July, plus making some of the recipes that have been sent in for the next cookbook. More than usual, the total cost was $197.71. I’m also making some more of the fresh juice from the fruit and some vegetables I got. This summer is already so hot and the cold juice in the refrigerator will be so refreshing. On our afternoon walk, we find lots of pretty mushrooms have come up. And Maizie finds a turtle to check out.
