Doris and her granddaughter Carolin are determined not to pack this painting away! Landscape painter Joseph Büttler captured the Swiss Alps on canvas in 1869. However, he didn't paint them on location, but rather in Düsseldorf. A former student at the local art school and influenced by the renowned artist Johann Schirmer, Büttler's painting creates a particularly vivid impression of nature. The dealers are already evoking a sense of vacation just looking at the artwork, but they're hesitant about the asking price of €5,000.
