Retos y metas en cirugía de fosa posterior
For this academic activity, our second-year resident, Dr. Sara Delgado, will discuss the intraoperative management of patients undergoing posterior fossa surgery. She will address specific challenges such as the need for pre-procedure echocardiography, intraoperative changes related to positioning for accessing this anatomical region, hemodynamic changes, and neuromonitoring. Finally, she will deliver a key message regarding extubation and how to make this decision safely. We hope this will be a highly educational activity and positively impact patient outcomes.
