A "1619 Project" Town Hall
On August 20, 1619, 20 "some odd Negroes" landed in Virginia, which would be the first of many ships carrying human cargo to the United States. This was the start of the transatlantic slave trade. Karen hosts a Town Hall discussing the New York Times' "1619 Project" with the creator, Pulitzer Prize winner Nikole Hannah-Jones, contributor Trymaine Lee and the president of One United Bank, Teri Williams. #1619Project #NikoleHannahJones #KarenHunterShow #Slavery #History (SUBSCRIBE TO THIS CHANNEL and listen LIVE to The Karen Hunter Show on SIRIUSXM, Ch. 126, M-F, 3 p.m. ET and get the SiriusXM app).
