In this detailed *review*, I'll cover all the strengths and weaknesses of the current *flagship smartphone to give you an honest assessment. An absolute highlight is the camera of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra with its large 1-inch sensor and Leica Authentic color matching. Even though it lacks a variable aperture and the autofocus isn't yet perfect, it delivers *excellent images*. The display of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is a dream: a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED with up to 3200 nits of brightness and the super-fast ultrasonic fingerprint sensor*. Despite intensive use, the *Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0 also impressed. In terms of performance*, the *Snapdragon 8 Elite combined with 16 GB of RAM delivers top results. However, heat generation under heavy load and its impact on battery life are also a concern. The software with HyperOS 2 and Android 15 is a double-edged sword. While the integration into the Xiaomi ecosystem and AI features are impressive, there are criticisms such as bloatware*, *launcher restrictions (no custom launcher gestures), *delayed notifications*, and the annoying *dual-band Wi-Fi bug*. The update policy (4 years of OS, 6 years of security) also lags behind the competition. The 5410 mAh silicon-carbon battery and 90W wired or 80W wireless charging are impressive, but in everyday use, the battery life was surprisingly not always better than devices with smaller batteries like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Finally, a conclusion on the value for money*. Is the *Xiaomi 15 Ultra worth the suggested retail price of €1,499 or the current market price of just over €1,000?
