CLOSE RACING: Club 100 Junior Round 2 South Shenington

P2 AT SHENINGTON 🏆 A good haul of points from Shenington for round 2 of the southern championship bringing home a double p2 in the pre final and final. Here is how it went: Quali: P6 overall Pre final: P6 ⬆️ P2 🟪 Final: P2➡️ P2 🏆 A very frustrating “what could have been” qualifying with so many yellow flags and traffic meant I only set one clear lap in but luckily was good enough for P6 Starting the pre final I managed to get a good getaway but got knocked slightly from behind and lost a couple of places through the first few corners, but survived the first lap carnage back into P6. From that point on it was just getting as many places up as I could and I managed to work with @ethanpritch46 to catch the karts infront and managed to set the fastest lap while doing so 🟪 Managed to cross the line in P3 on the road and P2 after penalties applied after a nice double overtake on the second to last lap. Did get a penalty which dropped me to P7 for a bump and pass but managed to get the penalty removed due to both me and the other driver involved saying there was no contact between us. Starting the Final in P2 I managed to just about hold P2 into the first few corners and managed to stay on Logan’s tail for the first half of the race. Sadly my kart was ever so slightly slower than Logan’s so he slowly and steadily dropped me as the race progressed and this further increased when a back-marker didn’t move out of the way correctly losing me even more time to Logan in front. Crossing the line in P2 with @loganmcalister_racing 1.6s infront and @teamginge23racing a few seconds behind. Great racing all day really enjoyed it and looking forward to the next round at Rissington currently sat P2 in the standings.
