BYD Shark a prueba 4x4 recreativa en en Parque Viva Costa Rica

We went to Parque Viva to test the BYD Shark, the new extended-range electric pickup that is revolutionizing the market. On this specially designed circuit, we pushed this model to the limit with tests on both asphalt and extreme off-road conditions. The tour began with an acceleration and braking test on a paved track, highlighting the instant torque of the electric motor. We then moved on to the 4x4 circuit where we faced: Towering waves to test the suspension and angles of attack. A mud pool that demanded all the system's traction in 4x4 mode. Impact tables that tested the absorption capacity of dry impacts. A 30-degree slope to evaluate uphill grip. A descent test with one tire in the air, ideal for evaluating the rigidity of the chassis and traction electronics. A bed of loose stones to measure the response of the traction control system. A climb of over 16 degrees with auto hold activated and an aggressive descent where we tested Hill Descent Control. And we finished by crossing a watery ditch, evaluating the vehicle's fording capabilities.
