Trying out ZFS in Unraid beta
I test out the latest Unraid beta with support for ZFS. I try setting up pools in ZFS, adding drives to pool, moving drives between ports, and more. I also try to find out a bit of whats going on under the hood by looking at aspects of the implementation, like how the arc size is managed. 0:00 Intro 0:19 Interface tour 0:57 Setting up a ZFS pool 3:25 Adding drives to a pool 6:14 Adding drives in the terminal 7:26 Testing manually added drives after a reboot 8:10 Testing changing drive ports 10:09 What does auto filesystem do? 11:13 Can drives be accidentally formatted? 13:22 ZFS scrubs and alerts 14:44 How is the ZFS arc size set? 16:18 Conclusion
