Rasta Pasta is a mixture of Jamaican ground seasonings like bell pepper, (normally of 3 different colours) hot pepper, jerk seasoning and other vegetables, steamed away in creamy coconut milk with macaroni. Most people add shrimp or chicken. The colors from the dish originally reflected the colors of the Rastafarian culture: red, yellow, and green, which prompted someone to call it "rasta pasta". In this video, I'll be seeing this recipe prepared with their signature style garlic lobster in coconut juice, at one of our local/International reggae artiste restaurants in Old Pera, St Thomas.
