It absolutely tastes as delicious as the traditional, much more difficult syrup version of Peanut Butter Pinwheels. The recipe dates back to the Depression and originated in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. It has a smooth creamy texture and is firm enough to hold it’s shape. You can take as much time as you need to adjust the consistency and get it absolutely perfect. There is no worrying about temperature, you don’t even have to measure exact.
