Skydive Pilot: Flying the Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter (reupload)

Original description below. -------------------- This is part 3 of a growing series about flying skydivers. Now we take an in-depth look at how to actually fly a jumprun. If you are interested to learn more about the Pilatus Porter and flying skydivers, please check out the other videos in the "Skydive Pilot" series:    • Skydive Pilot   In this video I take you along on a flight in D-FROH, the current jumpship of the Fallschirmsportclub Mannheim e.V. (Skydiving Club Mannheim) at Herrenteich Airfield (ICAO code: EDEH) in southern Germany. We take off from Herrenteich with 10 jumpers on board, climb to 14000ft (4000m), drop the jumpers and then fly back down. Everything is recorded from the pilot's perspective with actual intercom and ATC audio. During the first few minutes I keep concentrated on actually flying the aircraft and looking for traffic, so apart from subtitles there are no verbal explanations. A bit later I guide you through the second half of the climb, the jump run, descent and landing with some more in-depth guidance. So bear with me for this first bit ;-). D-FROH, in full type designation, is a Pilatus PC-6/B2-H4. This means she has a Pratt&Whitney PT6A-27 engine and a maximum takeoff weight of 2800kg. The Porter is a rather unique big taildragger made for STOL and off-airport operations. Disclaimer: I do this for fun, not for a living.
