In this video, I sit down with a Black Japanese woman who grew up in Africa and is now building a new chapter of her life in Tokyo. We talk about her journey between cultures, her struggles with identity and heritage, and what it’s been like adjusting to Japanese society. She shares her experiences with relationships, food, and the things she’s come to appreciate from both cultures, and how she’s learning to exist comfortably between them.
