Full ride aboard The Dollywood Express steam train. Filmed during our family vacation to Dollywood on June 16th, 2026. The Dollywood Express runs along a 2.5 mile loop-to-loop track from the Village to the top of the mountain Dollywood borders to the north. It is pulled by two ex-White Pass & Yukon Route 2-8-2 "Mikado" type steam locomotives. It is the oldest attraction in Dollywood, opening at the theme park "Rebel Railroad" in 1961. It is also one of the signature attractions at Dollywood, appearing in almost all advertising. On this journey we were pulled by "Cinderella" which is a Baldwin Locomotive Works steam engine with 2-8-2 wheel configuration. Serial number 62234 built in 1938, it was originally used for the White Pass and Yukon Route between Skagway Alaska and Whitehorse Canada. For the 2026 season Cinderella was converted from coal to fuel oil. #dollywood #train #trains #steamengine
