TRIBUN-TIMUR.COM - A woman in Sukabumi, West Java, is suspected of being harassed and threatened with violence by an unknown man on a public transportation (angkot). The incident went viral on social media after the victim posted a chronology of events on her Instagram account on Wednesday (March 11, 2026). The incident began around 9:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB) when the victim boarded a public transportation (angkot) on the Cibadak-Cicurug route. Inside the vehicle, an elderly man was already watching the victim intently from the start of the journey. Shortly thereafter, the man allegedly began engaging in indecent behavior by attempting to touch the victim's legs. The disturbed victim immediately reprimanded him inside the public transportation. Although he remained silent for a few minutes, the man resumed his behavior. The perpetrator was then caught trying to secretly photograph the victim. However, the victim quickly covered her face with her cell phone, preventing her from being photographed. The situation became even more tense when the victim claimed the perpetrator also threatened her with a sharp weapon, suspected to be an axe. The moment was captured in a video uploaded by the victim, showing the man suspected of being the perpetrator pointing at the camera. After the incident, the victim immediately contacted police emergency services and went to the Cicurug Police Station. The victim was then directed to report the incident to the Pelabuhan Ratu Police Station for further investigation.
