Coraz mniej miejsca ... MPPL PG150 2025

I started counting my MPPL square in 2010. The area is the outskirts of the city, which are systematically occupied by the city. Over the past 15 years, the bird species composition and habitats have changed significantly. Some species are disappearing, replaced by birds more closely associated with humans. This area may not be particularly interesting for birds, but from the perspective of the passing time, it's truly remarkable. I don't know how long I'll be able to continue counting here. Looking at the layout of new housing estates and roads under construction, I hope I won't have to look for a new square. This video isn't meant to deny urban expansion. It's inevitable, and it's good that it's taking place on the outskirts, which aren't particularly valuable for nature. The species shown here aren't very rare. Nevertheless, you can see how drastically, seemingly small changes alter the species composition of the local avifauna, even though no one is deliberately killing birds here. All we're doing is altering the appearance of the surroundings... I invite you for a walk. Most of the photos and videos of birds come from archives from various locations. Well, either we're seriously counting birds or we're taking tons of photos.
