"I love volunteering to teach snake catching, and I will continue to teach to pass on the knowledge to future generations." Ms. Chompoonut Tisayukta (Aom), 18, is from Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Currently, Aom has dropped out of school to work as a day laborer to help support her parents. She also volunteers with Ruamkatanyu Foundation, teaching rescue workers how to properly catch snakes. When she was 13, she found a snake in front of our house and thought it was cute, so she took it in and raised it. Last year, she met P'Nick, the founder of the Snake Poisoning Project, and learned how to properly catch snakes. Today, Aom showcased her snake-catching skills and shared her knowledge of various types of snakes. She also took on a challenging challenge. I have to say, she's a stunner! She's a 2021 "Mae Bia" (Thai: 2021), able to talk to snakes and understand! She even demonstrated cobra venom and captured a giant python with her bare hands! The judges were speechless. Aom's dream is to bring home an appliance for her beloved grandmother, as her family doesn't have a washing machine or refrigerator. Don't miss this week!
