Sinn 144 GMT Ti

The Sinn 144 GMT Ti is one of the iconic evergreens of the Frankfurt based pilot's watch specialists. Designed by WWII airforce pilot Helmut Sinn with drivers watches like those of Porsche Design in mind and during the time when Gerald Genta created the Royal Oak, the Ingenieur SL and the Nautilus, it is still beloved by customers and still a part of the Sinn product family of sturdy and accurate tool or instrument watches. With Argon filling, dry capsule and the lubricant free Diapal escapement, the service interval is way much longer and the sensitivity for steam and condensate is so much less than in most watches of the same kind that are available these days.The most stunning fact about this watch however is the value enhancement. When bought 25 years ago, the price for the steel version with steel bracelet was about 5 times less than today. It’s not a big deal to sell it today and used with a nominal 400% price increase. That’s more than a steel Rolex, a Patek Philippe or a A. Lange & Söhne price increase over the same time… . However, the extremely rare shown version with titanium housing and bracelet was almost twice the price of the steel version, is so light and comfy to wear.
