Richard Maraj continued his three-week series on "How to Get Out of Your Own Way." Two keys ways that we can help get out of our own way is by expanding our capacity and managing our energy. CAPACITY We are far more capable than we believe. Too often, we focus on our shortcomings, mistakes and perceived limitations, forgetting that we are individualized expressions of Infinite Intelligence with unlimited spiritual potential. God’s nature is to give abundantly! God doesn't withhold anything from us; the only real limitation is our willingness to receive. The Bible story of the widow’s oil reminds us that Spirit continually flows into our lives according to the size of the "vessel" we provide. As we expand our capacity for love, joy, wisdom, abundance and faith, we open ourselves to experiencing more of God’s good. ENERGY Spiritual growth requires wise stewardship of our energy. We diminish our effectiveness when we dwell on the past, worry about the future or expect others to make us happy. These habits drain the creative power available to us in the present moment. True success isn't about working harder, longer or pushing ourselves toward burnout. It comes from aligning our energy with purpose, meaning and spiritual awareness. By engaging the wisdom of the mind, heart, gut and body, we can meet life’s challenges with greater clarity, confidence and resilience. Notably, rest is an essential part of this creative process. Through prayer, reflection, stillness and renewal, we create space for divine guidance, fresh inspiration and new possibilities to emerge.
