In this week's adventure, we explore one of the most impressive mountains in the Sierra Madre Oriental: Cerro de la Viga. 🏔️ Accompanied by San Doro, one of Mexico's most renowned adventure and hiking content creators, we tackle a demanding trek with over 1,238 meters of elevation gain to reach the summit. During the hike, we traverse technical trails, cross high-altitude forests, and witness a lightning storm unfolding over the mountains as we continue to gain altitude. But this adventure is much more than a physical challenge. Cerro de la Viga is part of a natural region of immense importance for the conservation of ecosystems in northeastern Mexico.
