This Whipple Supercharged Mach 1 now leaves our workshop stronger than ever, thanks to a full, no-compromise engine build: • Brand New Ford V8 Coyote Gen3 Engine Block • Brand New Ford Cylinder Heads • Brand New Balanced Ford Performance Crank • Brand New Ford Gen3 Cams • Brand New Ford Gaskets • Brand New Ford Oil Sump • Brand New OEM Ford Oil Coolers Kit • Forged Manley Pistons & Rods • High Grade Piston Rings & Oil Scraper Rings • MMR Oil Block Off Kit • MMR Oil Pump & Crank Gear • Valve Spring and Retainer Upgrade Kit • NGK Iridium Spark Plugs • King Racing Bearings • ARP Main Studs • Dyno Time For Engine Bedding • Fresh ECU Calibration Once we finished bedding in the new engine on the dyno, we began tuning the ECU for the new setup, ultimately achieving around 700 whp and 550 ft-lbs at the rear wheels. With the 10R80 gearbox, drivetrain losses are higher compared to a manual transmission, so this roughly equates to around 840 bhp. This setup is currently running a 3.85 pulley at 10 psi with an 11:1 compression ratio. The engine build itself is more than capable of producing 1,000 bhp with a smaller pulley, upgraded injectors, and further ECU recalibration.
