Mwami Mlangwa farms lettuce using hydroponic method in Tanzania

Mwami Mlangwa is the Founder and Managing Director of Mwamy Green Veggies, a purely Tanzania Company which grows green leafy on hydroponic. Hydroponics is a subset of hydroculture, a method of growing plants by using mineral nutrient solutions in a water solvent as opposed to soil. Established in November 2016, Mwamy selling her products in April 2017. Prior to getting into agriculture, Mwamy worked with corporates including Vodacom Tanzania for 15 years and NMB Bank for over a year. In May 2016, she enrolled herself at Kibutz Yagal in Tel Aviv Israel, where she learned about a modern way of farming known as Hydroponic. She is fluent in English, Kiswahili and Hebrew.
