You Are Not Far — But Are You All the Way In? LDSong 6/4/2026 [1st Reading] [2 Timothy 2:8-13] "Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead. But the word of God is not chained. If we have died with him we shall also live with him; if we persevere we shall also reign with him. But if we deny him he will deny us. If we are unfaithful he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself." [Responsorial Psalm] [Psalm 25:4-5, 9, 14] "Your ways, O LORD, make known to me; teach me your paths. He guides the humble to justice, he teaches the humble his way. The friendship of the LORD is with those who fear him, and his covenant, for their instruction." [Gospel] [Mark 12:29-34] "The first is this: Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. And to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices. You are not far from the Kingdom of God." [Alleluia] [2 Timothy 1:10] Alleluia — alleluia, "Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life to light through the Gospel." Alleluia — alleluia. [Coda] Adonai Yeshua who destroyed death and cannot deny Himself is asking for one thing only — not burnt offerings, not religious performance, but your whole heart, soul, mind, and strength given to Abba Yahweh and your whole love given to your neighbor. To know this and not yet live it is to be not far from the Kingdom — but still outside it. Is your love for Abba Yahweh and your neighbor the whole of your life — or just a part of it?
