6 Uren van Kortrijk 2022 - SS2: Aalbeke 1 - all cars

The first stage of the day of the 29th 6 Uren van Kortrijk. In this rally the historic cars drive first, and in reverse order (from 'slowest' to 'fastest'), followed by the fastest modern cars. The stage is 5.29 km long and was won by Niels Reynvoet (7, Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo) who completed in 3:17.2, 1.4 seconds faster than Vincent Verschueren (46, Volkswagen Polo GTI R5) and Bernd Casier (1, Ford Fiesta Rally2). Rest of overall top 10: 4. Davy Vanneste (3, Škoda Fabia R5), +3.0 5. Melissa Debackere (2, Škoda Fabia R5), +5.6 6. Junior Planckaert (12, Škoda Fabia R5), +7.3 7. Tuur Vanden Abeele (4, Škoda Fabia R5), +10.8 Reynvoet takes the lead from Verschueren and now has 0.3 seconds advantage. Debackere is 3rd on +4.6. Casier closely follows the podium only 0.4 after Debackere. Historics top 5: 1. Nick Torré (202, Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 4-door) completed in 3:42.6* (P18 overall on +25.4) 2. Jean-Louis De Roeck (204, BMW E30 M3), +1.0* 3. Tom Tytgat (212, Opel Manta 400), +1.6 4. Ludovic Vitse (225, Opel Astra GSi 16V), +3.4 5. Glenn Rogiers (211, Opel Kadett C), +4.2 Vitse is still in the lead, and has now 8 seconds advantage on Tytgat. Rogiers is 3rd on +14.7. Danny Kerckhof (203, BMW E30 M3) who was 2nd, had a big crash. At 15:02 we see him going to the start, but he will not return in the video... Patrick Mylleville (209, Porsche 911 SC) who was 3rd after yesterday, dropped to 6th. Rik Vannieuwenhuyse (207, Ford Escort RS 1600 MKI) was 5th, so should have been 3rd by now at the same pace, but had to retire on this stage due to technical reasons. The times of Toorré and De Roeck have been adjusted because they had to slow down at the accident of Danny Kerckhof (203, BMW E30 M3) With the modern cars, Kim Bauwens (34, Ford Fiesta) also crashed at the same location as Kerckhof. After this 2nd crash the stage was canceled and cars had to turn around and go to the next stage instead. That is visible at the end of the video from 25:26.
