Por cima do elevador

Let's take a walk on the inside of the elevator, that is, on top _______________________________________________________________________________________________ History about Elevators In 1500 BC, the Egyptians already used rudimentary elevators to raise the waters of the Nile River, through animal and human traction. From then on, mainly with the Industrial Revolution, these forms of traction were replaced by steam power and soon after, by electricity. In 1853, the American businessman Elis Graves Otis invented the first passenger elevator. The first elevators were very slow; for a passenger to reach the eighth floor of a building, it took an average of 2 minutes. Currently, some elevators are capable of reaching speeds of 550 m/min, which means they are more than 45 times faster than their predecessors. Brazilian elevators began to be manufactured in 1918. It was the cabin operator, turning a crank, who made the elevator go up or down. The doors were opened and closed manually. With the construction of taller buildings, the hand-cranked transport was replaced by more complex electric systems that eliminated the need for elevator operators. Nowadays, elevators have modern systems that allow for great comfort and safety for users.
