Garden of Magic (Come, Little Children) - Witches and Faeries Version - Kristen Lawrence

Kristen Lawrence's cover of "Garden of Magic" (known popularly as "Come, Little Children"), Sarah Sanderson's witchy song from the movie, "Hocus Pocus." The original song in the movie is (tragically) only one verse, so Kristen added two more verses, a bridge, and a chorus. The new lyrics and new melodies are hers, except the chorus lyrics for which she used the refrain from William Butler Yeats' poem, "The Stolen Child." In Irish folklore, faeries were known to kidnap children. And what do (bad) witches do? The same thing. (The Sanderson sisters were successful. Hansel and Gretel's witch was not.) This common folklore thread weaving together witches and faeries intrigued Kristen while shaping her arrangement.
