’Twas the Tism, My Lord | Adeptus Mechanicus Drinking Song | Warhammer 40K Inspired Music
A boisterous Adeptus Mechanicus drinking song powered by electric organ, stomping boots, struck tankards, machine beeps and a roaring shipboard chorus. Lord Captain Helvia Corvin has discovered that far too much of her Rogue Trader vessel has been filled with obsolete cables, loose screws, broken switches, ancient adapters and boxes of unidentified “good bits.” When she questions the Tech-Priest responsible, he offers the only explanation necessary: ’Twas the tism, my lord. Among some of the servants of the Omnissiah, the tism is no ordinary urge to hoard scrap. It is sacred mechanical inspiration: the absolute certainty that a useless-looking component must be preserved because its true function may be revealed in the future. Such divine guidance must be followed precisely, even when the Lord Captain would prefer to use the cargo hold for ammunition, provisions or something that appears useful today. Unfortunately for Helvia, one ancient cable eventually saves the ship. The Tech-Priest naturally records this single success as complete doctrinal vindication of every box, bracket and tangled cord aboard. Rogue Traders are independent Imperial void captains who travel beyond ordinary authority under the power of their Warrants of Trade. Their ships carry soldiers, merchants, explorers, specialists and servants of the Machine Cult—which means even a Lord Captain may struggle to control what her Tech-Priests decide is sacred cargo. Use this industrial folk drinking song for Warhammer 40K gaming, Adeptus Mechanicus armies, Imperial Guard campaigns, kitbashing, miniature painting, model building, terrain crafting, hobby nights, tavern playlists or protecting that box of cables you may need one day.
