*New S700 Cars* Passing the SacRT Swanston Yard (6/9/2026)

Jun 9, 5:28 PM Passing the SacRT Swanston Light Rail Yard in Sacramento, CA. Since I last passed through here, two new Batch 4 Siemens S700 cars, 440 and 441 have arrived at the yard. 439 still has no decals which I find interesting. Even more interesting is that SacRT moved SACRT 217 to the rail loop, if you remember, this car was totaled in an accident back in May 2021. Something tells me SacRT may be getting ready to scrap it similar to the UTDCs. Furthermore the doors, wheels, lights, and pantographs have been already been taken for parts meaning this car has officially reached the end of its life. I find it interesting that 207 technically outlived this car as a parts car, but I guess it's because this one was immobilized so SacRT wanted to get rid of it first.
