LS Swapping a Chevy Faster Than You Can Say AVALANCHE

Amberghini found a project for me, a 2010 Chevy Avalanche that needed an engine swap. I called J&J Auto Wrecking, got a low mile 5.3 out of a 2011 Tahoe coming, then went to pick up the truck. After picking it up I found that it had about 10PSI of oil pressure at idle and was misfiring badly, this may have been damage from Active Fuel Management, or just a pump failure. The new engine was far more complete than I needed it to be so we stripped it down so we could start the swap the next morning. The swap is a quick in and out, once it was done I replaced all the consumables and one O2 sensor. This truck is ready to hit the road again.
