PERJALANAN KE BENTENG PENDEM AMBARAWA - FORT WILLEM I 1845 - Episode Semarang

We've finally arrived at Fort Willem I Ambarawa, also known as Benteng Pendem Ambarawa Semarang, a Dutch fort in Indonesia. Hi! This time, I'm going a bit further into Semarang to visit Benteng Pendem Ambarawa Semarang, the first destination in the Semarang episode on Vian Den Bosch's channel. This Dutch fort was built in 1834 and completed in 1845. It took 11 years to build. In this video, let's explore two parts of Fort Willem I Ambarawa: the casemate and the main gate of Benteng Pendem Ambarawa Semarang. Fort Willem I Ambarawa Semarang is also a witness to the long history of the Indonesian nation, from the colonial era to the present day. Currently, part of the Ambarawa Pendem Fortress has been used as a Class II prison since 2003. Hopefully, the long history of Fort Willem 1 Ambarawa Semarang will further instill in the Indonesian people a love for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) through historical relics, especially in the city of Ambarawa.
