A normal motorized damper is used for airflow control during normal operation and is typically rated up to 70°C. However, in fire and smoke control systems, ventilation must continue operating during a fire. In such cases, a Motorized Smoke Fire Damper (MSFD) is required, as it can withstand temperatures up to 250°C.
