Here’s a guitar cover of Stick To Your Guns, from the 1988 album New Jersey. . The least live-performed song of New Jersey. One time in Belgien 88 and once as a request in 2008 in Amsterdam. I guess they felt they never got the feel right live. The acoustic part of the song is beautiful. It feels very much Sambora, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he wrote that part. For me it’s Sambora 12-string playing at its best. The electric part is pretty straight forward with mostly chords. The solo is a nice melodic one. There’s some flanger on top of the solo guitar. Richie seemed to like to use a lot of flanger back in the days. Today, I’d say flanger is a pretty dated effect, but back then it was very popular and I love when Richie use it! 👌 .
