All EVs Under $40000 Price Australia (JUNE 2026)

JUNE 2026 - I reveal Australia's cheapest 14 electric cars under $40,000 driveaway price, a mixture of hatchback and SUV options. I go through every single one, tell you the price, the range, and whether I think you should buy it, shortlist it, or skip it entirely. Some of these cars are from brands most Australians have never heard of. A few of them will surprise you. One of them I own myself, so I declare that upfront and let you make up your own mind. The hatchback vs SUV question matters here. I flag that for every car, because for a lot of people it ends the conversation instantly. Range matters too. There's a big difference between how useful a car is that goes 200km, 300km, 400km etc. The list has changed a lot, even recently. Cars that used to be bargains have been pushed almost off it. New ones arrived out of nowhere at the Melbourne Motor Show. One snuck in so late it nearly didn't make the cut. I give my honest take on every car. Some have weak points most reviewers don't mention. One popular choice is missing a feature that every other car on the list has. I call it out. The market is moving fast. This list will look different again within a few months RELATED HATCH VIDEOS GAC Aion UT Walkaround    • Nobody's Done This Yet — GAC Aion V vs UT ...   MG4 Urban Drive Review    • Honest MG4 Urban Drive Review - Same Badge...   MG4 Urban Walkaround    • MG4 Urban Walkaround: Big Space, Small Com...   MG4 Urban Real DC Charging Rate (not 150kW)    • Australian MG4 EV Urban Specs That Aren't ...   BYD Dolphin Review    • BYD Dolphin Premium - 5 Things Need To Kno...   RELATED SUV VIDEOS BYD ATTO 2 Premium vs Jaecoo J5 EV    • BYD Atto 2 Premium Vs Jaecoo J5 EV: Surpri...   2 Week Jaecoo J5 EV Test    • 2 Week $36,990 Jaecoo J5  EV Test - What's...   Why Jaecoo J5 EV Is Great Value    • EV Price War Just Got Real: $36,990 Gets Y...   ==== ✋ Disclaimer: I am sponsored by several viewers and supporters of the channel who want to help me keep creating independent honest videos, full details in the video.
