Watch Eric trim a flat of 50 young Zelkova he started from seed in February 2021. First he strips off the leaves so he can closely examine the trunk and branches. Next he demonstrates how and why he trims these Zelkova, in anticipation of creating broom style, shohin-sized, bonsai trees!
