We have already told you the details here. This "move" to a new platform is accompanied by a newly designed fairing - much more modern than before, but still committed to the classic, more purist design language. The round LED headlight has therefore been retained. However, it looks a little more austere, thanks to the beveled upper edge, and is flanked by subtle daytime running lights. This new orientation of the Chieftain and Roadmaster is of course not the only new feature. For the first time since its introduction in 2020, Indian has also significantly revised the PowerPlus engine. It has become larger, increasing from 1768 to 1834 cubic centimeters. It is now 112 cubic inches, hence the name: PowerPlus 112. This growth enabled the liquid-cooled four-valve engine to increase its performance despite meeting Euro5+: 126 instead of 122 hp, plus 181.4 Newton meters instead of the previous 178 - and this continues at a low 3800 rpm. The upgrade applies to the entire model family, not just the Chieftain and the Roadmaster - the Challenger and the Pursuit, which were already running with the PowerPlus engine, also benefit from the upgrade. As well as a few additional features that are now standard on all four models: a hill holder, i.e. hill start assist an integral braking system that works in both directions (no matter which brake you use, the second is activated automatically - at speeds over 20 km/h) a Bosch radar unit at the rear that supplies a blind spot assistant and a collision warning system with data These three innovations join an equipment that was already lavish and ranged from the electrically adjustable windscreen to cornering ABS, lean angle traction control, three driving modes, sound system, connectivity including navigation and Apple CarPlay to cruise control and the keyless system with central locking.
