After watching this program, viewers will have an understanding of the types of work experiences, environments, expertise, and education a typical USGS employee may have. Following a brief history of the USGS, the program features several interviews with USGS employees in which they relate how they became interested in their chosen Earth Science field and how they apply their education and background to their work at the USGS.
